Roosevelt High School librarian wins prestigious award

POSTED October 17, 2018

On September 27, 2018, Jeanne Conner, head librarian at Roosevelt High School, attended the South Dakota Library Association awards banquet and received the Distinguished Service Award. The award was given to the South Dakota librarian who has made exemplary contributions to the librarian occupation, furthered the development of libraries or has been a hardworking, loyal South Dakota librarian for a long period of time. Ms. Conner works tirelessly to ensure that students can access the library portal and use the many resources available to them. She also frequently hosts book talks where she gives brief synopses of books to students in hopes of helping them find one that they would enjoy reading. These contributions, along with her other duties as a librarian, make Ms. Conner an irreplaceable asset both to Roosevelt High School and to South Dakota libraries as a whole.
