Scoring System: Stars

During this pandemic, you might not have a lot of spare cash so this list will help narrow it down to the best games worth your money. In this review, I’ll be going over 12 games and rating them on sales, graphics, cost/availability, replayability, and scoring them with stars from worst to best.

12. FIFA 20 ⭐⭐☆☆☆

Sales: 506 thousand

Graphics: Average

Cost/Availability: $16, and it’s available on all 3 major platforms

Replayability: In FIFA 20 it could be fun if you haven’t played any of the other FIFA games but if you have it’s very similar to the other ones and it has many glitches that could ruin your match

Reasoning: I put FIFA 20 at number 12 because of its many glitches and repetitive gameplay. Even though the graphics are not bad and it’s available on all 3 platforms there are better games to spend your time and money on.

11. NBA 2K21 ⭐⭐☆☆☆

Sales: Over 5 million

Graphics: Above Average

Cost/Availability: $70, and it’s available on all 3 major platforms

Replayability: You can play on many different courts and achieve many different looks and outfits but the overall concept is the same with the exception of small variations like 1 on 1s to 3 on 3s but many users are already used to those variations because of how similar it is to 2k20. Also, even though it’s almost the same as 2k20 it still has many glitches that can ruin your experience or gameplay.

Reasoning: I put NBA 2k21 at number 11 because of how similar all of the 2k’s are and how much the game is. In 2k21 there are my things to do but not many new things that 2k20 doesn’t have and if you’re paying 70 dollars it should be a better game overall game. But overall the game could be very fun for people that haven’t played any of the other NBA’s.

10. Madden 20 ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

Sales: Over 130 million

Graphics: Average

Cost/Availability: $60, and it’s available on all 3 major platforms

Replayability: The game is decent if you haven’t played any of the other maddens because it’s almost the exact same as all the others, which is leading some of the player bases away. Also, madden 20 is filled with glitches that can be frustrating to play with and can overall just make you want to get off the game.

Reasoning: I put Madden 20 at number 10 because of its cost and its very similar to the other maddens. If you’re going the make the game 60 dollars it should be completely different and new. But overall the graphics are not terrible and it could be fun if you haven’t played any madden games before.

9. League of Legends ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

Sales: Over 115 million

Graphics: Below Average

Cost/Availability: Free, but it’s only available on pc

Replayability: If you have never played league of legends it could be fun for a little bit but it’s a complex game that’s been out since 2009 with little updates and the player count is slowly decreasing after the few updates and little changes to the game

Reasoning: I put League of Legends at number 9 because of the very few updates it gets every week or month. Since the game doesn’t get very many updates the game gets boring quickly and repetitive. Also even though the game is free it’s only available on pc so that can exclude lots of potential players.

8. Among Us ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

Sales: Over 100 million

Graphics: Below Average

Cost/Availability: $5 on pc and free on mobile devices, sadly though Among Us is not available for Xbox or Playstation

Replayability: If you play Among Us a decent amount of times you’ll know it starts to get boring after doing the same thing over and over with different settings hundreds of times, but with friends playing with you the game is much more enjoyable than playing with random people.

Reasoning: I put Among Us at number 8 because of how repetitive it is, but the game can still stay fun for a bit longer if you have friends to play the game with since that makes it more fun and less frustrating playing with random people. But overall the game is not bad it just gets repetitive after playing it with the same objective and goal every time.

7. Rainbow 6 Siege ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

Sales: Over 60 million

Graphics: Above Average

Cost/Availability: $20, and it’s available on 3 major platforms

Replayability: Rainbow six siege is a complex game that takes many hours to master but it doesn’t have much variation with just a few different games with mainly the same objective to kill the other team

Reasoning: I put Rainbow 6 Siege at number 7 because after some time it starts to get a little repetitive with very similar end goals in every game. Overall though the game is pretty good, there is still a lot of room for improvement since the game does start to get very similar as you play more.

6. Fortnite ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

Sales: 350 Million

Graphics: Average

Cost/Availability: Free, and it’s available on all 3 major platforms

Replayability: You can play Fortnite many times without being bored because there are many different games or game modes. In some of the game modes, you are free to do anything you want leaving how you play or what you play inside the game entirely up to you so there are even more ways to entertain yourself.

Reasoning: I put Fortnite at number 6 because the game has many things to do but if you play it enough it gets very repetitive and could even become frustrating to play. If you’re just thinking about getting the game it can be fun for a while with friends but may seem to lose its fun after a while of playing it.

5. Call of Duty Modern Warfare ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

Sales: Over 30 million

Graphics: Above Average

Cost/Availability: $60 for the full version but it’s free if you only want warzone, and is available on all 3 major platforms

Replayability: You can play it many different times because it has many guns to level up or master and 3 different modes to play its campaign, warzone, and multiplayer and in its multiplayer, there are even games with different objectives to play.

Reasoning: Call of Duty Modern Warfare is a great game it has many things to do but its 1 downfall is its price point. Even though the full game is 60 dollars I think it could still be worth it if you like shooter games. The overall game is very good and well designed though there are very few glitches and that makes the game feel very smooth and fun.

4. GTA V ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

Sales: Over 120 million

Graphics: Above Average

Cost/Availability: $60, and it’s available on all 3 major platforms

Replayability: In GTA 5 there are many different missions that can keep you from being bored and also there are many robberies and heists to execute to try to become the richest player or to try to unlock some of the cars and weapons

Reasoning: I put GTA V at the number 4 spot because the game won’t get repetitive fast. I like this game and I think it’s good but the price makes it harder for some people to want or play the game. Overall though the game won’t get very repetitive since it has many features and things to do.

3. Rocket League ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

Sales: Over 10 million

Graphics: Average

Cost/Availability: Free, and it’s available on all 3 major platforms

Replayability: In Rocket League there are many things to do you can choose from a variation of over 10 games and even do a tournament every 3 hours, if you’re not feeling competitive and just want to play you can do free play or even training to improve and get better at the game

Reasoning: I put Rocket League at number 3 because it’s a very well designed game overall and one of the main games I play. Rocket League can be very fun if you have a few friends that enjoy it too and if you don’t you could still play with other random people the game gives you. If you’re very competitive the game would be great for you too since the game has 7 competitive modes and even a tournament every 3 hours to compete for rewards.

2. Minecraft ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Sales: over 200 million

Graphics: Below Average

Cost/Availability: $30, and it’s available on all 3 major platforms

Replayability: You can play Minecraft a countless number of times because there really is no limit telling you what you can or cannot do and to add to that there are servers and realms you can join on and play with your friends or even do other modes or games inside of those servers

Reasoning: I put Minecraft at number 2 because if you have friends to play it with there are endless things to do. If you get bored by its single-player feature you can find multiplayer servers and play loads of minigames and different versions with new goals and objectives.

1. Call of Duty Cold War ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Sales: Over 30 million

Graphics: Above Average

Cost/Availability: $60, and it’s available on all 3 major platforms

Replayability: In Call of Duty Cold War there are many things to do but the game is very similar to Call of Duty Modern Warfare, but Cold War has some new features that could be very fun for you. They released a zombies mode they haven’t had before and changed some of the maps and guns to make it feel like a new game.

Reasoning: I put Call of Duty Cold War at number 1 because currently, the game is booming with tens of thousands of people buying it every day. They’re buying it for a good reason to though the game is very fun and has countless things to do. What makes this game so good though is its zombies’ mode and campaign you can play both of these for a very long time without becoming bored.
