School Shooting in Nashville Tennessee

On March 27th, a 28 year old transgender man in Nashville, Tennessee, shot and killed 6 people at the Covenant School, a Christian school for students in preschool through sixth grade. The suspect’s legal name was Audrey Hale, and they were shot and killed by authorities before being apprehended. The shooting took place in the lobby area of the school on the second floor. Hale, armed with two assault-style rifles and a hand gun, killed 3 children and 3 staff members. The President of the United States continues to urge congress to pass a ban on assault weapons due to the increased rate of school shootings in the United States. This is the 130th shooting of 2023 in United States.
