After an undersea pipeline ruptured on Friday, September 30th, Russia’s president Vladimir Putin blamed the United States and its allies for the sabotage and damage of the undersea Nord Stream pipeline. The pipeline provides gas into and out of Russian land. According to Rueters Putin has stated that “It is hard to believe but it is a fact that they organized the blasts on the Nord Stream international gas pipelines.” Putin also stated that “It is clear to everyone who benefits from this. Of course, he who benefits did it.” The United States has said it was too early to say it was sabotage and the United States has dismissed talk that it was responsible for the blow-up. Russia is now trying to find different ways of gas supplies and has stopped short of naming anyone they believed sabotaged the pipeline.
