On Monday, March 20, 2023, in Arlington, Texas Police responded to a 911 call just before 7:00 am from Lamar High School about a school shooting. The shooter, who has not been named was apprehended and charged with capital murder, and two students who have not been named were taken to the hospital According to reports, one male student has died and a female student is being treated after being grazed in the shooting.
