On September 18th, the community of Faithhorn, Michigan, followed by many other citizens in the area, were gripped in a feeling of panic as they searched for a missing two-year-old girl.
The missing toddler wandered away from her home; joining her were two family dogs. The young girl was found hours later sleeping on one as if it were a pillow.
“She laid down and used one of the dogs as a pillow, and the other dog laid right next to her and kept her safe, It’s a remarkable story,” Lt. Mark Giannunzio said. Police, drones, dogs, and citizens helped look for the young child in remote wooded areas.
Luckily, a citizen found the toddler sleeping on one of her dogs around midnight, 3 miles away from her home. She was checked by medical staff and appeared to be in fine health.
