Across the United States, students are coming together and protesting the Israel-Hamas War on college grounds. These protests started on April 17, 2024, and have greatly increased since then. Due to students refusing to leave campus grounds, violence between police and protesters has broken out. So far, over 2,100 protesters have been arrested from universities across the United States, and these include the University of Texas at Austin, the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, and California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt. Universities and colleges seek to remove these protesters because they are disrupting programs and school events. Many of these students are demanding schools to stop doing business and stop associating with Israel. Many of these long-term protests have tents and small communities in them; some of them even have medic tents, housing tents, and music.
