With all of the choices of things to watch the average media viewer is often overwhelmed with ads for new films, TV series, and exclusives to stream. There are a lot of good movies out there that are entertaining, but one in particular that should be revisited is “Moana”. The movie is about a teen girl on an island surrounded by an ocean of bad. But all she wants to do is be on the ocean and her parents don’t want her to because they don’t want to get hurt.
Moana has a good meaning and lesson. This movie teaches a great lesson about facing your fears. Moana goes out into the ocean to face Te Fiti the mother island that turned into a lava monster when Maui stole her heart the name of this is Ta-ka not knowing how to sail but she faces that and did what she needed to keep her island safe.
Moana is a great role model for younger children or teens, showing independence, strength, and leadership skills. She sings about being on the water which shows finding strength, independence, and finding your own way. Moana shows independence throughout the whole movie and how she wants to be on the water to make it safe on the water so she can go beyond the reef and her village would be able to voyage again.
Moana follows her heart and you can tell it’s important to her. This movie should be revisited mainly because of the great message and how they put the story together.
