Presidential Election Results: Earning almost 65% of the votes, Donald Trump won the majority vote and landed all three electoral votes in South Dakota. 

House Election Results: Dusty Johnson won South Dakota’s single congressional district, with 73% of the votes in his favor.

Constitutional Amendment E Results: This amendment would have changed South Dakota’s constitution to use gender-neutral terms instead of male pronouns. It did not pass with 57% of the population voting against it. 

Constitutional Amendment F Results: This allows for work requirements for some Medicaid recipients. It passed with 56% voting yes.

Constitutional Amendment G Results: This amendment would have given South Dakotans the right to an abortion. It did not pass with almost 60% of the population voting against it.

Constitutional Amendment H Results: This amendment would have made election primaries open regardless of political party. It did not pass with 65% voting against it.

Initiated Measure 28 Results: This ballot measure would have repealed the state sales tax on groceries. It did not pass, with almost 70% of voters voting against it.

Initiated Measure 29 Results: This ballot measure would have legalized the recreational use of marijuana. It did not pass with 55% of voters voting against it.

Referred Law 21 Results: This ballot measure would have authorized new regulations for carbon dioxide pipelines. It did not pass with almost 60% voting against it.
