Iranian Protest

In Iran, many citizens continue to protest against their government in response to the death of a young woman who died in government custody. Mahsa Amini, age 22, died after being arrested by morality police in Tehran on the 13th of September for allegedly wearing her headscarf too loosely. According to BBC news “ Iranians from across Europe chanted the slogan of the protesters ‘Women, Life, and Liberty!’ In Iran itself, protests triggered by the death of a young woman in custody have entered the sixth week.” And according to CNN “ As the protests rage, Iran is turning up the heat on its adversaries, mainly the United States and Israel. However, recently, Saudi Arabia found itself in the line of fire, which risks further complicating attempts by the two regional rivals to mend ties.” So it seems like women in Iran aren’t the only ones who are mad. According to CNN “ Iran again warned Saudi Arabia, as well as the United States and the United Kingdom, to ‘stop interfering in the country’s internal affairs.’ ”
