Drone attack on oil tanker off the coast of Oman

On Wednesday, November 16th Israel accused Iran of placing a drone attack on an oil tanker offshore of the Oman coast. The self-destructing drone went after the Pacific Zircon, which just so happened to be a Liberian-flagged, Israeli-affiliated tanker that was carrying gas oil. The drone did not cause major damage to the tanker nor did it interfere with its journey. Israeli officials have claimed the weapon was an Iranian “HESA Shahed 136 self-destructing drone, the same ones being used in Ukraine.” The attack that hit the vessel, later on, revealed that it indeed was a Shahed-series self-destructing drone.
