The Submarine Mystery

Cecelia Hillyer, Writer

On March 12th, the Colombian Navy intercepted a submarine containing $87 million worth of cocaine. It is believed that the drugs were heading to Central America to enter the illegal drug market. Prior to the interception, the submarine appeared to have suffered a mechanical malfunction that resulted in a toxic gas killing two suspects and leaving two seriously ill. No information has been released on the identity of the individuals involved. The Columbian Navy spoke about the amount of drugs prevented from entering the illegal drug system.  “The Columbian Navy will continue deploying all its capabilities to counter the scourge of drug trafficking structures that commit crimes in the Columbian Pacific,” the Columbian Navy stated.
